How to set up and run Classiqo.

Use this page to onboard staff and keep your setup steps consistent across the school.

First steps

Start with the basics.

Choose access

Decide whether staff sign in independently or through a school organisation.

Set up classes

Add your first classes and check pupil names before you start placing seats.

Build first plans

Create room layouts and save at least one plan for each class.

Getting started

Choose how staff sign in, then finish account and class setup.

  • Pick independent or organisation-managed access.
  • Complete sign-up for staff accounts.
  • Check each teacher lands in the right workspace.

Classroom setup

Build room layouts that match the real classroom, then add pupils.

  • Place desks and tables to match the room.
  • Import or type pupil names, then check spellings.
  • Save a baseline plan before creating variants.

Using plans

Keep seating plans current as classes and lessons change.

  • Keep separate plans for assessment, behaviour, and cover.
  • Use one plan to edit, view, present, and print.
  • Update plans weekly as a class changes.

School rollout

Roll out in phases so staff support stays manageable.

  • Give one person ownership of onboarding and support.
  • Pilot with a single department first.
  • Share clear sign-in and help routes.

Support and access

Support is easiest when routes stay simple and consistent.

  • Share this page as the main setup guide.
  • Include sign-in and sign-up links in staff notes.
  • Use the same handover steps for new and cover staff.
